Sharon has more than 30 years experience teaching riding and horsemanship lesson to riders of all ages and abilities. Her previous experience includes Stephens College Equestrian Center, Brantner Arabians, Brenda Benner Stables, Crown Center Farm, and Mann Morgan Farm. Her training and teaching background includes Morgans, Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, Arabians, American Saddlebreds and grade horses. Sharon majored in Light Horse Management at the University of Minnesota and received her BS in Equestrian Science in 1989. She was the Stephens College Equestrian Center Manager from 2014 to 2020.
She is generous with her time and very passionate about working with youth; she remembers well what it was like to be the only "horse crazy" kid growing up in school. Sharon has high expectations for behavior and believes that horse time is a privilege that should be earned through hard work and respectful behavior both at home and at school. |
