Horse care is part of lessons at The Horse Farm. Students help get the horse ready by brushing, saddling & bridling as they are able, and help put the horse away after the lesson. Barn chores are also part of lessons to develop responsibility, attention to detail and teamwork between rider and horse.
An evaluation lesson is required for all students. It is recommended that children be at least six years old. Lessons are private to allow for individualized attention and maximize learning. Safety and the well-being of the student dictates the length of the lesson which is adjusted at the instructors discretion based on how the student is progressing, feeling and responding during the lesson. Parents are expected to be in attendance during their child's lesson. Private lessons purchased with check or cash are $65 each or a package of four private lessons can be purchased with check or cash for $240. Lessons may also be purchased online using the links below which include fees associated with electronic payment. A completed Student Information Sheet and Riding Waiver is required and is found by clicking the blue box below. |
