Students must have an ASTM SEI rated riding helmet and closed toed hard-soled soles with a low heel. An entry level schooling helmet averages $50-$70. Paddock boots are strongly suggested and typically cost $45-$60. If you need assistance with sizing or purchasing these items please ask and we will answer any questions you may have.
Tennis shoes, high heeled boots or bike helmets are unsafe and not suitable for horseback riding. You may bring friends & family to your lessons, but children must be supervised at all times. For safety reasons leave your pets at home. We are a smoke and alcohol free facility; if you have been drinking do not come out for your lesson or to watch someone else's. In the event of inclement weather, poor road conditions or temps colder than 20 degrees all lessons are cancelled. Lessons are offered Monday-Friday year round. Students must ride at least once a week to reserve their time slot. Payment is due in full at the completion of each lesson. Lessons can be purchased individually or in packages. Animals are not to be fed anything without the instructors' consent; this is for your protection as well as theirs. Because we are a friendly non-competitive low stress barn, we do have a waiting list. Reach out early if you are interested to get your name added to the wait list. |
