THE HORSE FARM

at Clark, Missouri

"Specializing in riding lessons for child and adult beginners on gentle horses."

The Tack Room at The Horse Farm.

Students ages 5 and up take riding lessons at The Horse Farm simply because they love horses and want to be around them. The Horse Farm specializes in teaching horsemanship skills to beginners and therefore does not have the competitive atmosphere of a show barn or the traffic of a training or boarding facility. Our school horses are gentle, well trained and patient with students learning new skills.

Safety is the foundation upon which all horsemanship lessons are taught. Learning to care for a horse is an essential part of becoming a responsible rider; in addition to riding, students learn about feeding, grooming, horse health care, stall cleaning, anatomy, types of equipment and other horse related topics.

The Horse Farm is located 25 minutes north of Columbia, Missouri or 10 minutes south of Moberly and offers horseback riding lessons in hunt seat, saddle seat, stock seat and driving. All students are required to wear an ASTM-SEI approved riding helmet. The Horse Farm will provide an appropriate helmet for the first 2 months after which time you will need to purchase your own.
