THE HORSE FARM HORSES
If it were not for my loyal horse partners, I would not be able to realize my passion of teaching riding. These are absolutely incredible horses who are willing to work with riders of all levels and skills and without them, I could not succeed. Thank you Lord, for these horses and the people who put them in my life.

The Boss's Black Star "Star" is a beautiful 16 year old black bay American Quarter Horse mare. She is willing, eager to please and loves to be ridden both in the arena and out on the trail. She is very smart, perceptive and level headed. Star is a talented horse with training in reining, jumping, dressage, hunt seat, halter, and trail riding. Star loves peppermint candy and apples. Thank you Lauren for taking a chance on us with Star! January 2010: After 9 years of teaching lessons with me, Star was repurchased by her original owner and has a new job teaching 4 year old Josey how to ride. She enjoys the easier and much lighter workload very much and has a fantastic home. Thank you Lauren and Josey for loving Star so much! |

January 2010: I am saddened to tell you that Sugar's life here on earth is over. She was always the most considerate and careful school horse with her students and sincerely loved her job of taking care of people. I can only hope to someday be as smart about people as Sugar was. Farewell my sweet friend. |

"Skip" is a handsome registered 34 year old Quarter Horse gelding. Thanks to MFA Golden Years and beet pulp, you would never guess his real age. He is a gentle giant who spent many summers of his life giving trail rides in the Grand Canyon. He is honest and kind and will stand quietly for as long as you care to pet him. Skip will willingly work both English and Western in the arena or out on the trail. Skip is semi retired and carries only lightweight riders at the walk & trot 3-4 days a week. Skip loves peppermints and carrots. Thank you Amy and Andrea for bringing this great hearted horse into my life! March 2009: My heart is heavy and as I tell you Skip has joined Trigger & Nugget on the grassy slopes of heaven. Surely that is a breathtaking scene with a trio of golden palominos grazing together once again. Farewell my golden friend, your honest heart and great kindness will be forever missed.

Golden Nugget "Nugget" is a very wise 37 year old Quarter Pony gelding. He has a gentle spirit and is very quiet. Nugget has been teaching children to ride for longer than anyone can remember and is semi retired, teaching just 3 lessons a week. Thanks to MFA Golden Years and beet pulp, Nugget looks so good you would never guess his age by looking at him. Nugget's duties include property patrol and pocket inspection. Special thanks to Cindy and Tory Chasteen for letting us take home this golden oldie! March 2006 It is with great sadness that I report our beloved Nugget has gone to greener pastures. His gentle wisdom and sweet spirit will never be forgotten. Nugget taught more children to ride than any other pony I know. Farewell my golden friend, I shall never forget you. |
