Kids Beginner Horse Farm Day Camps

Each camp is designed for horse crazy kids ages 7 and up with little or no horse experience. Activities will include learning safe horse handling skills, grooming, stall cleaning, saddling, bridling, knot tying, breed and color identification, crafts, and horse fun including Pony Painting! (See photos at bottom of page) Activities are different for each camp so kids may attend as many camps as they wish. Participants receive a free Horse Farm T-Shirt for their first camp and a gift certificate for one free riding lesson for each camp they attend. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Cost is $55 per camp. Campers must wear long pant and sturdy shoes that cover their feet... no sandals, clogs, or canvas shoes. A minimum of 5 students must enroll 10 days prior to camp or camp will be cancelled. Advanced registration, payment in full and a completed student waiver is required. Due to popular demand, we have added an extra camp session this year, but space is still limited. Early registration is encouraged early to avoid disappointment. Early drop off and a later pick up can be arranged in some situations, please inquire if it will be available for your camp date(s).

2010 Summer Riding Lessons
Dates & time scheduled according to your availability!
These riding lessons are designed for kids and adults ages 7 and up. Parents & children may attend the same class together. Each riding lesson will be followed by hands on learning activity to make you a more effective rider. Students will ride in an all purpose balanced English seat. Participants receive a free Horse Farm T-Shirt. $175 per student.
Deadline to register is June 20, 2010. Dates and time of lessons will be schedule at time of registration, and The Horse Farm will try to accommodate your schedule for each lesson package purchased. If we are not able to do so, The Horse Farm will return your check. No make up lessons will be held unless The Horse Farm must reschedule. All riders must wear hard soled shoes with a low heel and long pants with an ASTM SEI approved helmet. Helmets will be provided. The Horse Farm must receive payment in full with a completed student waiver.

Youth Horse Day Camp

camp is designed for horse crazy kids ages 9 and up who have taken lessons in a
lesson program. Activities will include
learning basic safe horse handling skills, cleaning tack, grooming, feeding,
getting a horse ready for a horse show, crafts, games and farm fun. Participants receive a free Horse Farm T-Shirt.
Lunch and Snacks will be provided. $75 Deadline
to register is June 10, 2010. The Horse Farm must receive
payment in full with a completed student waiver. All campers must wear hard
soled shoes with a low heel and long pants with an ASTM SEI approved
helmet. Helmets will be provided. After horse activities, students
may change into shorts and sturdy shoes that cover their feet. (No sandals, clogs,

Horse Ownership

This class is designed for those individuals or families wanting to learn about the time and financial investment required for horse ownership. This seminar is conducted in a classroom format and will cover feeding, basic health care, hoof care, shelter & fencing requirements and an estimate of the annual cost of horse ownership. Handouts will be provided. All children must be accompanied by at least one parent. Absolutely no dogs and no children under 7 years of age. Class costs $5 per person or $15 per family if paid before August 1, 2010. A completed student waiver is required.
Participants must wear sturdy shoes that cover their feet. (No sandals, clogs, crocs or canvas shoes.) Class will be held in the indoor riding arena at The Horse Farm. Bring your own lawn chair or dress to sit on a hay bale. RSVP by email or phone required. Cost the evening of the class will be $10 per person or $25 per family. A minimum of five individuals must enroll in class by August 15, 2010 for class to be held.
